Muddy streets and rotted fruit and blood from long gone fights When out a foggy boulevard come two pinpricks of light. I run around the corner and veer off to the right but the engine noises follow me from a taxi black as night. The taxi man he pulled me in Shot down narrow streets. He says, “tonight we’re going bank robbing for revolutionary cash.” “Carnegie’s got more than enough, and J. P. Morgan too, They'll be glad to still be breathing when we’ve done what we’ve set out to do.” When dawn broke through the drifting clouds we counted out the cash. It came out to many millions and we distributed the stash. Millions went out to shanty towns and to tenements around the world. For starving bums and peasants and to houses of raw wood, from just one night of robbery in my old neighborhood.

Grassy fields and wooden guns, the clash of toy swords and the heat of the sun. Playing soldier seemed like so much fun in the years before the war had begun. Winslow and I would conquer the land, together we’d fight and together we’d stand. Two boys playing men in a land made of liars fearless to face the bombs and the fires. Not knowing one day that it would all end I’d have to bid farewell to my greatest friend. What took him away I could not have seen, they sent hm to die in those cursed machines. Funny it seems how things do pass, feels only yesterday we were boys in the grass. 1942, I don’t feel much older, but it seems once again I’ll be playing soldier. He was eighteen, I one year below. He made the draft and I could not go. I know in my heart that again I will meet him, I’ll be waiting here alone on the fields of Antietam.

Santiago 1973 was a riot and a kick in the teeth and when the bombs go off and the fires start burnin’ it gets a little hard to breathe. But I hope someday that all those walls will come crashing down and that’ll be the day when the military ain’t around. Right! Hitch a ride in Cesar Chavez’s plane, King Dog is my co-pilot. Love and war are only one and the same and I’m not the one to fight it. Go! Go! Out of the door! King Dog is a runnin’ for, the lights are on in King Dog’s Court. Si! Si! What’ll it be? King Dog is a runnin’ free, the revolution starts in King Dog’s Court! Now it’s a sorry thing to see La Moneda’s burning in the street. But the U.S.A. and the C.I.A. are gonna get what’s coming to ‘em any fuckin’ day! They’ll soon be caught in King Dog’s teeth. Right! Hitch a ride in Cesar Chavez’s plane, King Dog is my co-pilot. Love and war are only one and the same and I’m not the one to fight it. King Dog is a runnin’ a long, far out, right on! Go! Go! Out of the door! King Dog is a runnin’ for, the lights are on in King Dog’s Court. Si! Si! What’ll it be? King Dog is a runnin’ free, the revolution starts in King Dog’s Court! Oh, no, no, no... Oh, no, no, no, no... I don’t want to be an American Idiot baby!!! Go! Go! Out of the door! King Dog is a runnin’ for, the lights are on in King Dog’s Court. Si! Si! What’ll it be? King Dog is a runnin’ free, the revolution starts in King Dog’s Court! [crazed howls of wild dogs] Hahahahahah, AHahaAHahahHAh Ohhh SHIT!
